Development of a Preparative Method for Obtaining an Enantiomerically Pure Substance of Salbutamol by Supercritical Fluid Chromatography

Introduction. An increasing number of studies conducted in various countries the field biopharmacy convincingly show differences physiological effects on human body stereoisomers pharmaceutical substances. As a rule, one enantiomers has necessary pharmacological effect, other enantiomer is either inert or negative side effect. Currently, it important to obtain enantiomerically pure substances from their racemic mixtures. Aim. Obtaining R-isomer salbutamol mixture and developing preparative procedure for chiral separation by supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) with yield target product sufficient production process. Materials Methods. Supercritical widely used analytical separations The relevance use SFC largely due fact that uses sub- carbon dioxide (SC-CO 2 ) as main component mobile phase (MP). Studies were carried out semi-preparative Investigator (Waters Corporation, USA) Prep 200 qSFC chromatographs PDA detectors. Samples weighed nearest 0.0001 g XPE206DR balance (Mettler Toledo, USA).
